Iconic Locations from the Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, The Lore of Middle Earth, and Rings of Power.

We want players to be able to travel and experience middle earth unlike ever before being able to travel in a variety of ways from Rivendell to the Shire to Erebor to Mordor and beyond.

Players can travel via many ways, including by foot, by horse, by Eagle,by Warg or by Fellbeast.

We want players to be able to encounter creatures from Spiders of the Ongoliant, to Dragons and Balrog’s

We want players to feel free to explore the realm, and truly feel immersed  in middle earth unlike ever before encountering heroes and villains alike.

The Lore of the War of the Ring will unfold around players as they explore and progress through the story.

Participating in Classic Battles

While players will be on their own path, events will unfold in the game that are meant to tell the story of the Lord of the Rings. It is the players choice to decide if they participate and how they participate in these battles.

example:

If a player just so happens to be traveling in Rohan between Isengard and Helmsdeep in March of 3019, they may have opportunities to encounter Gandalf and the Rohirrim on their way to assist Aragorn in the battle of helm's deep. The player is then allied and participates in the ride of the Rohirrim

Whereas if they are in helms deep during the battle they will be drafted to assist in the cities defense.

These time based events will also create plenty of ways to play differently and how to play for different factions.

Allegiances:

While the majority of players will want to play as Men, Elves or Dwarves, the forces of good in Middle Earth. We want to paint a grander picture of what is good and what is evil.

Allowing players to play as wicked men, Orcs, Goblins, and Trolls will allow players to make decisions that are unique. While they will have trouble allying with the Forces of Good. there are plenty of ways for a player to define good in this world.

Players can play as an Orc, who teams with the Elves against his own kind, but there could be penalties or rewards for doing so.

Istari on the other hand, will possibly have the most fun, as they can choose to stay out of war and wander or to side with Sauron against Gandalf.

We want as many opportunities to play and while a player may not always be trusted by their allies, they will have the ability to earn their trust overtime.

SKILLS and Classes

Unlike other games set in middle earth, we don’t want players to choose a class, rather to choose skills that fit their play style and how they wish to roleplay in this world.

Skills can include:

  • Tracking

  • Knowledge

  • Smithing

  • Crafting

  • Cooking

  • Archery

  • Swordcraft

  • Mining

  • Hunting

  • Farming

  • Charisma

  • Stealth

  • Strength

  • Accuracy

  • Luck

  • Etc.

Allowing players to choose how their character plays. Different combinations and ways to play allow for replayability within the game.
